The Duke of Edinburgh has been admitted to hospital on the advice of his doctor after feeling unwell, Buckingham Palace has said.
Prince Philip, 99, was last night taken to the King Edward VII Hospital in Marylebone, London, as a 'precautionary measure' and is expected to remain there for a few days.
His illness is not Covid-related and his hospitalisation is not being treated as an emergency.
It is understood the decision to admit him was taken with an 'abundance' of caution.
Royal sources said he was driven to the King Edward VII Hospital by car before walking in unaided.
They added that he remains in 'good spirits' and that the Queen has stayed at Windsor Castle.

Re: Prince Phillip in hospital
I hope this really is just a precautionary measure, and there's nothing wrong with him - but, in any case, I wish him all the best

He is pretty aged. I hope I make it to 99 and still able to walk into a hospital
